Digital Leaders achievements and updates

We are starting a new monthly blog feature to share schools who have completed their training, updates from the Childnet team and good news stories from Digital Leaders schools.

Digital Champions application deadline extended – new deadline 30th November!

The Childnet team have so far received some fantastic applications from aspiring Digital Champions.  This is our exciting new opportunity for Digital Leaders looking to expand their role, gain new skills and network with other Digital Leaders across the UK.  You can read more about the role and the application process on our recent Digital Champions blog post.

European partners visit St John Bosco RC School’s Digital Leaders

You may have also seen our recent visit to St John Bosco School in Manchester; the students showed us and our European partners some amazing letters they had written to parents about online safety.  You can read the full blog post here.

Digital Leaders Regional Event

On Tuesday 20th November Titus Salt School in Saltaire, West Yorkshire, will be hosting the first ever Digital Leaders Regional Event!  The  Childnet team have been busy preparing for the event and are really excited to see all the Digital Leaders who will be attending! Titus Salt and their new Digital Leaders have also been hard at work completing their training.  Find out more about the Regional Event here.

Activities to try with your Digital Leaders this month

  • Anti-Bullying Week mini-module – Anti-Bullying Week runs from 12th-16th Why don’t you tell us what you’ve been doing in your school to speak out against bullying? You’ll get a badge, 100 points and the best entries will go on our website! Let us how you’ve been campaigning by emailing us at [email protected] 
  • Write a blog – Help us populate our brand new website with all your awesome activities! Let us know what your Digital Leaders have been up to and we’ll feature it on our Blogs.  You’ll receive a ‘Write a Blog’ badge if you’re on the primary platform and a ‘Childnet advocate’ award on the secondary platform.
