Digital Leaders achievements and updates

Published: 30th April 2019

Welcome to the April edition of our monthly achievements and updates blog. Here we congratulate schools who have completed their training, and share updates from the Childnet team and good news stories from Digital Leaders schools.

Digital Leaders School visits

Siobhan from the Digital Leaders team visited Flying Bull Academy this month and met their enthusiastic Digital Leaders, who explained how they were involved in the running of Safer Internet Day 2019 sessions in their school for a whole week! Siobhan was impressed by their attitude in helping other pupils with online safety and it was great to hear about their upcoming projects. Thank you to the Digital Leaders and their teacher, Mr. McGlone-Atkinson, for welcoming us to your school. Here are the Flying Bull Academy Digital Leader’s 5 top tips for online safety:

  1. Tell someone if you are being cyberbullied
  2. Be aware of how to block/report
  3. Stand up for other people
  4. Make sure websites are safe
  5. Treat others how you would like to be treated

Let us know at [email protected] if your Digital Leaders would like a visit from the team or if they would be interested in writing a blog for our website!
