Childnet Digital Leaders Regional Event
Published: 12th November 2018
On the 20th November 2018, the Childnet team are hosting the first ever Digital Leaders regional event at Titus Salt School in West Yorkshire! This is an exciting networking opportunity for your school’s Digital Leaders to meet other young people involved in the programme.
This exclusive event is open to all schools who are enrolled on the Childnet Digital Leaders Programme and is a perfect opportunity for your Digital Leaders to receive some exclusive training, as well as showcase how they are helping to make the internet a kinder and safer place for all!
We often hear from young people that one thing they would love is the opportunity to meet other fellow Digital Leaders. Well this event, as well as providing the perfect networking opportunity, will give them the chance to share their fantastic work and celebrate their achievements so far.
There will be exhibitor opportunities at the event, with schools presenting the amazing things they are doing in their communities. Maybe you have created an internet safety poster displaying the SMART rules or made some leaflets giving information on working to prevent cyberbullying that you would like to share? These stands are a perfect opportunity to educate and inspire others.
Ever fancied yourselves on the big screen? Well now is your opportunity! We are requesting that schools make a 20 second video and film themselves waving to camera with their school name in shot. These clips will be edited together and shown during the event. Please send your short films via WeTransfer to [email protected] by Thursday 15th November.
Digital Leaders from both primary and secondary schools are invited to attend this grand event! Please have a look at the information pack for more info and register on Eventbrite to confirm your attendance. We are super excited to hear from you and looking forward to meeting lots of Digital Leaders at the event! Please note, places are limited and will be offered to those on a first come first served basis.
