Birmingham Digital Leaders making progress

Published: 28th May 2019

On the 2nd May, Danielle from the Childnet team met the fantastic Digital Leaders from Uffculme School in Birmingham to find out more about their time on the programme, what they have enjoyed the most and what they are doing to promote online safety in their school!

She met with Sam, Joseph, Stuart, Kaden, Luke and their teacher, Ms. Craven, who have been part of the programme for a few months. So far they are making great progress through the modules and are really showing the spirit that makes a great Digital Leader.

They are working through the modules and during Danielle’s visit Ms. Craven shared an online safety presentation that they had created and which was featured in their school assembly (and even had a guest appearance from Pingu!). Danielle was also delighted to hear that the team from Uffculme school are planning to enter Childnet’s Film Competition this year!

Uffculme School is a specialist ASD school and they shared some fantastic ideas of how we can make the platform more accessible.

Are you a SEND school? Do you have any ideas you would like to share with us as to how we can make the platform more accessible? If so, we’d love to hear them. Please email us on [email protected]
